The Shoppingcenter is located in the hinterland of Zadar, along the development veins. Here, speed is the determining factor, perception is imprinted by dynamics of motion and the field of vision is focused on essentials. In these urban planning surroundings the presence of an enterprise is connected directly with a clear appearance. Site and function define some more parametres and in their sum they are the basic codes for the realization of an idea.
The structure is reduced, clear in its appearance - only sporadical inlets lead into the interior. A long solitair - apparently hovering over the terrain, folded like a lying wing, which opens itself upwards - accomodates all main functions of the Shoppingcenter.
The paths through the mall are defined by patios; they are waiting or resting zones and indicate the connections between above and below. In the upper floor the strolling mall changes into a net of bridges, places and paths and its roof apparently breaks up and flows to the exterior. Materials are reduced, the colour white dominates. Carefully used, sporadical changes of materials underline specific utilization and accentuate. Diversity and variety of the users become the substantial focus, the building forms the frame and is the ideal and technical skeleton. As a striking, dynamic landmark to the exterior, the Shoppingcenter slows down its speed in the interior and becomes a place for lingering.
